We are now hiring for a RCAC Director. This role provides leadership and oversight within Community Services and specifically to Shelby Terrace, Welcome Home, and Windsor Place. Responsible for the day-to-day operations, providing individualized, high quality services to tenants and their families. Hours typically are 8:00am -4:30pm, however those hours may vary and the hours of the regular schedule are negotiable. The Director must be available to supervise, train staff, address issues, and work on site all shifts as needed. On-Call is shared on weekends via a rotating schedule among 4 directors.
Tenant related job tasks include but are not limited to:
- Provide ongoing case management services to RCAC tenants including assessments, risk agreements, and negotiated service agreements in conjunction with the tenant, their family, and other stakeholders.
- Attain and maintain target occupancy levels in all building
- Monitor, administer, and supervise administration of medications in RCCAs.
- Utilize wellness procedures in health maintenance, illness prevention and general care of tenants
- Plan and implement creative activities both in an out of facilities
- Facilitate and encourage family involvement with tenants
- Facilitate tenant meetings
- Assist and/or provide cares and services to meet tenant needs
Regulatory and general job tasks include but are not limited to:
- Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, regulatory, and accrediting body standards. Maintain all necessary paperwork for tenants as required under the DHS 89 state code.
- Ensure a safe, and sanitary environment for tenants, visitors and staff.
- Contribute toward public relations efforts that promote BSJC
- Orient, supervise and stay connected with volunteers.
- Maintain confidentiality of tenant and staff information.
- Review, complete and take action as needed, tenant/visitor/staff incident reports
Staff and facility related tasks include but are not limited to:
- Providing ongoing support, training, direction, supervision and feedback to staff
- Schedule staff and assure all shifts are covered, including RNs assignments during nurse absences
- Facilitate staff communication. Assure employees receive status report on changing conditions of tenants.
- Provide orientation and in-service training for staff as required under DHS 89 state code for RCACs.
- Attend departmental meetings and other work group/committee meetings as required
- Grow professionally by embracing training opportunities, attending mandatory in-services, and educational programs.
Requirements:
Must be 18 yrs. of age, possess a high school diploma (two or four year degree in health or human services preferred). Supervisory experience, experience working with seniors, and basic computer skills are beneficial. The successful candidate will be able to function as a team member in the provision of tenant services and able to organize, plan and direct tenant care utilizing nursing process. Additionally, they will be self-directed, use good judgement, establish priorities, and demonstrate leadership qualities. This individual will demonstrate the ability to supervise staff in a professional manner and possess excellent verbal and written skills.
Compensation:
Full-time, salaried position; competitive starting salary based on experience, with step increases to the midpoint.
